Job Description
The Supply Department of UAP’s Heavy Vehicle Division manages replenishment for 4 distribution centers as well as 40 stores across Canada. Day after day, this team works to ensure that UAP remains the industry leader by having the right part, in the right place, at the right time.
You will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a supply team while ensuring consistency in practices and alignment with strategic objectives. Your expertise in inventory management will be leveraged to optimize inventory levels throughout the network, aiming to achieve an excellent level of service while meeting financial objectives related to inventory management. You will also contribute to maximizing gains related to purchasing conditions while respecting the financial framework surrounding inventory management.
In this role, your mandate will be to work with your team and collaborate with other relevant UAP departments and our suppliers to efficiently and proactively ensure the supply of our warehouses and stores. Your communication and problem-solving skills will assist you in navigating complex or challenging situations raised by internal clients. Together with the director, you will develop effective supply strategies to ensure optimal planning and execution.
You will have the opportunity to apply your management and supply chain talents, thereby having a direct impact on UAP’s success.
Requirements
To join our team, you must, among other things:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or other relevant field, combined with at least 10 years of relevant replenishment experience for a distributor or retailer, including 3 to 5 years in a management role;
- Have strong knowledge of MRP/DRP systems and mastery of performance and financial indicators related to the responsibilities;
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills in both French and English, orally and in writing. You will routinely collaborate with internal clients across Canada;
- Exhibit collaborative leadership and the ability to influence without direct authority;
Possess excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, and Access (an asset); - Have knowledge of the heavy vehicle industry (an asset).
