Job Description
**Contract position from January 2026 to April 2027**
We are recruiting a dynamic and engaging Employee Relations Advisor to join our team.
In this key role, you will provide operational support to managers across the various divisions in your region. You will ensure the rigorous application of HR policies, procedures, and programs while promoting best practices in employee relations to deliver a quality employee experience and foster engagement.
Main Responsibilities
1. Employee Relations
- Support and coach managers on performance management, job reviews/evaluations, disciplinary measures, and, when necessary, termination decisions.
- Respond to questions about HR programs and coach managers on their deployment and application.
- Clearly interpret and explain policies; guide decisions considering business and operational imperatives.
- Conduct investigations from start to finish (conduct, harassment, ethics, etc.), document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
2. Support to the HR Business Partner
- Act as a resource person for the team regarding the interpretation of policies, procedures, and best practices, for both employees and managers.
- Contribute to and occasionally lead continuous improvement projects (e.g., optimizing investigation processes and tools, updating policies, etc.).
- Coordinate and organize HR events and activities.
- Deploy and ensure the application of HR processes: performance evaluation, vacation management, and absenteeism control.
- Actively participate in committees (e.g., employee participation committee, health and safety committee).
- Support managers in onboarding, orientation, and training of new employees; ensure structured follow-up on integration.
3. Health and Safety
- Work closely with health and safety specialists.
- Support managers in monitoring requests and files and implementing prevention plans.
- Manage the health and safety claims process and ensure rigorous follow-up on files.
Requirements
To join our team, you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR generalist role.
- Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written, as you will need to collaborate with colleagues and clients across Canada.
